But RnB singer Cassie dared to bare today as she made a splash in a string bikini on Miami Beach.
The 24-year-old star, who was once romantically linked to Sean 'Diddy' Combs looked super toned as she sauntered around, before taking a dip in the sea.
The singer's debut single Me & U was a top ten hit in the UK back in 2006, but since then she has failed to have the same success.
Her second studio album, Electro Love, has been in production since 2007, but has still not been released have numerous failed single releases.
Three singles have been released from the album - Official Girl featuring Lil Wayne in August 2008, Must Be Love featuring Diddy in April 2009 and Lets Get Crazy featuring Akon in August 2009.
All singles failed to make an impact, causing the release of the album to stall several times.
Back in May last year, Cassie, full name Casandra Ventura, was hit by scandal when photos emerged on the web of her posing topless.
At the time she pointed the finger at computer hackers who she said breached her laptop to steal the photos.
The singer, who also hit the headlines after shaving her head, took to her page on social networking website Twitter.com to accuse someone of hacking into her computer and stealing the cheeky snaps.
She wrote: 'It seems that someone has hacked into my computer...that's real foul and evil... Now stop acting like you haven't seen a t**ty before.' dailymail.co.uk
