
Things are looking better for disgraced NFL superstar Michael Vick. Weeks after being activated by the Philadelphia Eagles, the quarterback has re-upped with Nike.
Mike Principe, the managing director for the BEST agency that represents Vick, announced on stage at a SportsBusiness Journal forum that Nike has re-signed Vick for a new endorsement deal Wednesday (September 30). Details about the deal were not revealed.
"Mike has had a great relationship with Nike and is excited to be part of the Nike team again," Segal told SBJ.
Nike originally signed Vick as a rookie in 2001, but after his notorious dog-fighting scandal, they terminated his contract in August 2007, after he filed a plea agreement admitting his involvement in the dog-fighting ring.
Vick joined the Philadelphia Eagles after serving 18 months in federal prison.He played his first regular season game since December 2006 on Sunday (September 27).
