BOISE, Idaho - Police say a Treasure Valley couple has been charged after a 4-year-old child apparently ate a Rice Krispie treat laced with pot.
Boise Police says a 4-year-old was hospitalized back in August after becoming lethargic, and had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.
After an investigation, detectives say a Rice Krispie treat had been left in a cupboard at a home near Sunrise Rim and Vista Avenue.
The child had reportedly eaten the dessert while the suspect Tony Green was away from the home and the suspect Medina Green was sleeping. The child was in the care of the suspects at the time and is well known to them.
The Greens were arrested after an investigation was sent to the Ada County Prosecutor's office. They've been charged with felony injury to a child.
