50 Cent Says He'd Marry Lady Gaga, Talks About Her 'Telephone' Video and Censorship Double Standards

While on tour in the UK recently, 50 Cent talked about Lady Gaga and Beyoncé's recent "Telephone" video and used it as a jumping-off point to talk about what he feels are double standards in video censorship.

"I think it's hot," he told MTV UK of the video. "It's interesting how [the censors] let things go. Standards on each artist are held completely different. The 'P---y [Wagon].' I'd like to see them leave that [license plate] clear and not blur it out when I make my next vehicle and it has the 'P---y Wagon' in it. You know? It's interesting they let that fly. 'It's Britney, bitch!' Nobody has a problem with that, but if I say, 'It's 50, bitch,' they say, 'Oh my God! You gotta edit that.'

"It's their personal perception of your intentions," 50 added about censors. "There's actually a shot [in 'Telephone'] at the table in the diner where it's just [breasts]. It looks great. But if I shot the same shot in my music video, they would make me edit it immediately. Even if I had a female talent that was a recognizable talent that I asked to be a part of the project, they wouldn't let that go. They'd think in some way you are taking advantage of a woman for marketing purposes. It's different standards. They'll ask [me] to ask tell the girl to not turn around ... if she's dancing, for her to not turn around [in my video]. That's the whole J.Lo show! It's interesting, the standards they place on each artists."

50 says even though some broadcast standards may not be fair, he does have love for Gaga and some of other queens of popular music. In a lighthearted part of the interview, Fif was asked whether he'd "kiss, marry or avoid?" Gaga, Beyoncé or Rihanna.

"I would kiss Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Rihanna," he replied with a laugh. "I'd marry Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Rihanna — in Africa. I'd have three wives! I would avoid wearing condoms and make really big families."

Jinesis "My Thoughts Exactly" (New Album)

"My Thoughts Exactly"

These are my versions of pre-existing songs. My re-interpretations of what I imagined and thought
they would sound like in my mind. Again, I'm come from the aesthetic where the producer dictates
the direction of the song and provides the sonic backdrop. Nowadays however with the technically
advanced age we live in, home studios abound plentiful and artists tend to take a more D.I.Y approach
to the direction of their own music. I decided to take the initiative as a PRODUCER and produce forth
a different soundscape for songs people may have heard before and take them somewhere new.
As an added bonus for musical continuity in my series, I've added some original tracks I've produced to
give you more range. These are my thoughts, exactly. Please enjoy, download and spread the word.
You're welcome.

The Infinite Dial 2010: Digital Platforms and the Future of Radio

The percentage of Americans who have a profile on one or more social networking web sites has surged to nearly half (48%) compared with 34% in 2009, according to the new Infinite Dial 2010 national survey from Edison Research and Arbitron.

The study also revealed that 30% of Americans 12 and older who have a profile on at least one social networking website use these sites at least “several times a day” compared with only 18% a year ago. “The growth in the number of Americans with profiles and the frequency in which they check their personal pages reflects how social networking has transformed the online experience in the past 12 months,” said Bill Rose, senior vice president of marketing at Arbitron. “For millions of Americans” said Larry Rosin, Edison Research President, “social networks are becoming as important as ‘traditional media’ networks, which is having a profound impact upon how people discover information and share content.”

The findings come from a national survey of 1,753 persons ages 12 and over.

Join us for the debut of "The Infinite Dial 2010: Digital Platforms and the Future of Radio." It’s a free, one-hour webinar on April 8 at 2PM Eastern.

The “Infinite Dial” series has offered an unparalled view of digital media trends since 1998 and has become a highly anticipated report each spring. Other trends we’ll explore in The Infinite Dial 2010 include the growing amount of iPod/MP3 use in the car; the astounding growth in social networking, particularly among older Americans; the latest trends in online radio, as well as consumer attitudes towards HD Radio and satellite radio

Jay-Z's 'BP3' Tour Is The Top Grossing Tour For Hip Hop This Year

HipHopDX: While Hip Hop has permeated the fabric of popular culture, the presence of Rap music has not particularly been felt in the realm of concert grosses. This year, however, Jay-Z has continued to conquer the Hip Hop genre in tour grossing, and has kept up with some Rock 'n Roll acts notable for their concert success.

Billboard Magazine recently tallied the top 35 grossing shows since January. Hov's Blueprint 3 tour made the list eight times, with his highest-selling concert landing at No. 10, grossing $1,322,831 (Australian rock band AC/DC grossed the highest with over $27 million for three concerts at one venue).

Jay's 360-deal with promoting-giant Live Nation has assisted him in his success on the road, starting with 2008's jaunt with Mary J. Blige, which grossed $34.5 million. "With everything else going on in his career, maybe he hadn't focused on tours as much as he could have," VP of touring for Live Nation, Faisel Durani told Billboard. "But we always knew he was an amazing live artist and the kind of artist we could work with to get to where we needed to be on the live side."

Jay-Z is scheduled to headline Coachella on Apr. 16 before making his way to Europe and Japan for other tour dates

Dr. Dre And Jimmy Iovine Speak On Music's ''Digital Revolution'' And 'Detox' Album Release: ''I'll Definetly Be Putting The Album Out This Year,,Final

CNBC: In the past decade, the digital revolution in the music industry has exploded. Apple led the pack and changed the way music is listened to, stored and purchased today.

With all the convenience of digital music, there has been one major downside.

Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records said, “sound has been degraded because of the digital revolution, really to point of no return.”

In order for us to store music files, the master files have been compressed over and over again.

Dr. Dre and Iovine teamed up and co-founded “Beats” by Dr. Dre - a line of specially designed high-end headphones.

They just announced a deal at Fenway Park yesterday, a Red Sox version of his “Beats,” priced at $349 ($299 for other Beats headphones.)

That’s a pretty hefty price tag for headphones since headphones typically come free with an iPod or any device you purchase.

That’s precisely the problem. Iovine pointed out that people would spend $300 – $400 on an iPod and have a 30-cents headphone to go with it. “That’s like getting the Avatar movie and watching it through a portable TV,” said Iovine.

“You’re not getting any of the emotion, any of the feel that people are getting in a recording studio. The sounds through these earbuds are destroying portable music,” Iovine said.

Beats has everything to do with what Dre does, “sound.”

It not only has the good sound, it also has Dre’s style to boot.

Dre is convinced that they are the best sounding headphones out there right now.

“Once people hear the difference with Beats and other headphones out there they’ll spend the money for it. Everybody that hears it loves them,” said Dre.
